“The supervisory relationship is a relationship about a relationship about other relationships.”-Fascalini, 1997
We follow the supervision guidelines as laid out by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. Supervision is a contractual relationship in which a clinical supervisor engages with a supervisee to promote the professional growth of that person; to enhance his or her safe and effective use of self in therapy; to actively discuss and often observe directly the direction of therapy; to ensure that the welfare of the client is safeguarded.
In my practice, supervision can take several forms including small groups or individual sessions that can be either ad hoc or focused on particular aspects of the professional practice of psychotherapy. Every effort is taken to make this process enjoyable and meaningful for all participants. For that to happen we must maintain an open and curious stance with respect to the client, the industry, the profession of therapy and for you, the supervisee.
For more information about process, rates, groups and pretty well anything else ‘supervision’ please fill out the form below and we will contact you by phone within two business days to discuss your specific needs and interests.
